AZ-Armaturen South Africa, a subsidiary of the German AZ-Armaturen Group, is a Johannesburg based manufacturing plant where production and assembly for the African market is carried out.
Established in 1985, the company has been in production for more than 30 years and is run by General Manager, Erich Ermel.
AZ-Armaturen South Africa specialises in the production and refurbishment of all types of self-lubricating plug valves used in various industries, such as, chemical, petrochemical, pharma, paper and food industries.
A wide range of different materials are available for various applications. The construction of the AZ valve is based on cavity-free plug valves with a PTFE-sleeve or chemical resistant PFA/FEP-lining. The wide range of valves can be completed by pneumatic, electric and hydraulic actuators with numerous accessories.
AZ-Armaturen South Africa not only manufactures for South Africa but for the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa. The company locally manufactures their valves with a minimum content of 70%. Furthermore, AZ-South Africa purchases most of their castings and raw materials from South African manufacturers in turn allowing for shorter delivery times, high flexibility, job creation and skills development.
By using world class technology with their new CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machine AZ-South Africa is able to manufacture and deliver high quality products according to international Standards.
